Idea Lab

Idea Lab

A facilitated working format for structuring complex questions and developing practical next steps.

Use Idea Lab when no single argument can resolve the problem and relevant participants need to map complexity, identify trade-offs, and develop a usable direction together.

01

Pre-session framing

Define the proposition, claim, proposal, or working objective, then make participant and audience roles explicit.

02

Live governed session

Use a clear moderation sequence so challenge, participation, and closing synthesis serve the question being examined.

03

Post-session interpretation

Preserve the session through the recording and publish selected transcripts, analysis, resources, clips, or archive links where editorially prepared.

Output

Working synthesis

The facilitator closes with a structured account of the problem, major options, disagreements, risks, and next steps.

Output

Participation map

Themes, objections, proposals, areas of agreement, and important differences may be captured for follow-up.

Output

Practical follow-up

Selected labs may lead to a guide, framework, issue map, working brief, or a further Clerisi session.
